The panel will feature a discussion about the common challenges and possible next steps in opening up government procurements. We will discuss and compare some national examples, the global norms of the Open Contracting team, Sunlight Foundation’s basic findings on procurement disclosure trends from all around the world and CSO tools built around procurement data. The panel is a teaser and a warm-up for the Human Centered Data: What Should Public Spending Data Tell Us? workshop (Tuesday 17 September, 11:45 – 13:15 @ Room 14, Floor 2).
