Lieven Standaert is a designer and architect. After doing a number of Arduino-based projects, and assembling his own Makerbot, he started off developing a small, open-source CNC-mill with Kurt Van Houtte at timelab, the fablab in Ghent, Belgium. Their machine is now available in kit-form at www.repairablemachines.com
