On the road to open data in Poland – where are we now?
Poland is currently undergoing rapid reforms of the regulation for public sector information provision, which are leading to the creation of an open public information and data regime. Ongoing works include reform of PSI access and re-use rules, setting rules for the creation of open data repositories, and preparation of a bill on the openness of public resources. These works are further supported by current strategic planning, which include prominently elements of the open government concept. Additionally, interesting projects are being undertaken by both NGOs and individual coders, which make innovative use of public data and promote their openness. The presentation will offer an overview of these events and processes, taking currently place in Poland.
