Freeing Copyright for Art and Profit
QuestionCopyright.org Artist-In-Residence Nina Paley shows recent work with QuestionCopyright.org, the “Minute Memes” (animated shorts about Free Culture), and her Mimi & Eunice “Intellectual Pooperty” comic strips. She also discusses the Sita Sings the Blues Free Distribution Project, the “Copyheart” license alternative, the Five Freedoms of Free Culture, and why she avoids laws and licenses as much as possible. More important than theorizing and propagandizing is MAKING ART – about anything – and sharing it freely, which is why she’ll also talk about her latest creative passion, works in fabric.
